The State Government has moved to end years of bitter accusations over mismanagement of Fraser Island dingoes by appointing one of Queensland's leading scientists to oversee a review. The move to ensure Fraser dingoes are saved came on the same day Agriculture Minister John McVeigh announced regulatory changes to make it easier for graziers to poison mainland dingoes. University of Queensland ecologist Hugh Possingham will oversee the review of the Fraser Island Dingo Management Strategy.
