Sarah completed her Masters of Science with the University of Melbourne.
Through his PhD research, Brendan is investigating the question of when it is more cost effective to protect pristine vs degraded ecosystems in order to protect biodiversity and ecosystem services. This is essential knowledge for anyone wishing to optimise the allocation of scarce conservation funding.
Kristen's research contributed to the conservation of bridled nail-tail wallabies. She measured the spread of the exotic Buffel grass into Taunton National Park, and its effect on the health of the wallaby population. Bridled nail-tail wallabies are endangered, and Taunton National Park is their last remaining home.
Dini's research focuses on community ecology, landscape ecology and quantitative ecology. Dini studied bird communities along an urbanization gradient for her Master Degree. For her PhD research project, she aims to find the best way to measure the effect of habitat fragmentation on bird communities in Australian and tropical forest region.
