A prominent Top End professional fisherman has vowed to defy the Commonwealth's new marine reserves and keep fishing in proposed no-take zones. WIT Award Winner - Dr Eve McDonald-Madden

Eve McMad 2012 WIT

Dr Eve McDonald-Madded from the University of Queensland was recently awarded the 2012 Women In Technology (WIT) Rising Star Award.

Eve is a Key Researcher in our NERP Environmental Decisions Hub, and a Chief Investigator in our ARC Centre of Excellence for Environmental Decisions. She is also a Postdoctoral Fellow with CSIRO Ecosystem Sciences.

By applying theoretical ecology concepts into a decision theory approach, Dr Eve McDonald-Madden is working to improve wildlife management and conservation planning.
